We felt completely comfortable at Dimora Villa Sofia. The property is spacious and beautifully laid out. It feels like an original Italian country estate. The garden and the two large terraces with unique views are a dream. Federico and his parents were so kind and helpful and even left us little gifts from the Italian kitchen as a welcome gift. The contact was very personal and warm. The house is large and the rooms very spacious, everything we needed was there. The family has managed to combine the flair of the old with the comforts of the modern. Unique. We were there in March and due to the cooler outside temperatures it sometimes took a while to get the house warm. You should definitely pack thick socks for this time of year. We would highly recommend hiring a car, as the town itself doesn't have much to offer. Perfect for those seeking peace and quiet.

Our stay in Dimora Villa Sofia was wonderful. The house and the sorrounding garden are beautiful, even better than on the photos. The neighbourhood is quiet and authentic, the sea is closer than we thought. There is one big terrace on the first floor that lies in the shadow the whole day - really important for the hot days in Summer.
And you have the big terrace on the roof of the house, covered in sunshine the whole day-perfect for spring or autumn days. Everything was perfectly equipped and clean. We were welcomed by Federicos mother who showed us the House and the garden. We felt like home immediately. Federico sent us lots of Information about the house and tips for activities and restaurants. Everything was very well managed and we felt really cared about. We would love to come back one day.

A dishwasher and oven would be really helpful for long stays. It was just difficult to adjust the shower temperature and the beds for us was slightly stiff with less breathable sheets. The air was bit dry but we understand it is due to the cold outside in combo with the air condition. We also suggest to add more toys for kids and improving the terrace with cozy furniture or decorations. 😄

Our stay at Villa Sofia was one of the highlights of our two week vacation in Sicily.
It's a very private place (with good door locks, we always felt really safe) with a garden filled with fruit trees. The villa is absolutely stunning. The view from the porch is amazing.
Going up the driveway by car is somewhat nerve-wrecking since it's a bit narrow - a small car is recommended - which is good advice anywhere on Sicily, especially in towns and cities.
We highly recommend the villa and its host Andrea!

Dimora Villa Sofia was an amazing find - it offers the ideal setting for a truly relaxing escape. The villa itself was beautifully maintained, blending rustic charm with modern comforts, making it feel like a true home away from home. We enjoyed the views of the surrounding hills and sea, from the terrace. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay.

Staying at Villa Sofia was wonderful. The Terrasse with sea views is a place you do not want to leave ever. Federico and his family are wonderful hosts that love their home and this is what you feel when they welcome you in it. Perfect place to enjoy the west coast with only a short car ride to Erice and Trapani. The house was spacious and just like you can see on the pictures. We hope to come back another time! 100% recommend!

The villa is amazing. Surrounded by a huge, beautiful garden with exceptional views. The sixties-interior is wonderful. The host and his parents are very kind and helpfull. Truly a wonderful place to stay!

The location and villa is beautiful, especially the view from the terrace. We were greeted by lovely and friendly Andrea and her husband, they explained some things to us, as it is a big house and they take great care of it (the communication still worked very well even though we don't speak Italian).
The driveway is daunting at first depending on the size of your car, but ours was quite big and it still all fit :)

The accommodation is completely authentic, spacious rooms with high ceilings, old original tiles, tasteful furniture. Good layout for six people. Donata and Andrea gave us a warm welcome and showed us around...We will come back!

Wow! We had a wonderful time at the Dimora Villa Sofia. You can tell how much love has been put into everything to give guests a unique stay (from a welcome letter and lovely furnishings to the playlist on Spotify). It should also be mentioned that you have the entire villa with 2 terraces to yourself and you can take the fruit directly from the garden. The hosts are also super friendly and helpful. We would love to come back!

Gorgeous, large, high-ceilinged and stylish old house in a beautiful location with truly stunning views.
The terrace was an unbelievable spot to relax in. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts made this
a special stay for our family.

The place was in a great location to explore the Northwest side of Sicily, easy to get to Erice, San Vito Lo Capo, Zingaro Reserve (which had the clearest sea), Guidaloca Beach, etc.

It's in a great location and the space itself was lovely. The place itself is an 'old mansion' as stated, the kitchen is very basic, the sofa had a cover on it, which impacted the overall vibe of the space, the bedrooms were as pictured although some beds were rigid, the drain solution was adequate
but the overall the communication was excellent.

Federico and crew were great with recommendations, very responsive to queries and we had a lovely time in Valderice. It's a great base to explore to the NW side of Sicily with a great view up top on the decking.

which we explored again!

We loved our stay at Dimora, it really is like going back in time and living in old Sicily. The hosts were amiable and helpful on arrival. The house has everything you need to feel comfortable. The garden and two large roof terraces are truly spectacular. Because the house is somewhat remote, you do need a car to get around. Only downside is that mattresses are hard, so if you're a sensitive sleeper, you might find it challenging to get a good night's rest. Everything else is fine. Can really recommend the house if you want to discover the west of Sicily.

Everything was clean and well-organized, and the villa is equipped with everything one might need to stay there for a longer period of time.

We are super pleased, the house is beautiful, it stands in a large, wonderful garden and has a view of the sea.
It has two terraces, one on the level of the house and another on the whole roof space to which a comfortable staircase leads.
The house has a great vintage interior design and has everything you need, the wifi works very well.

In the village of Valderice above there is a large supermarket, a great patisserie called Cafe Vespri and a very good hairdresser. A few kilometres above the house is the iconic Sicilian historic town of Erice, an absolute gem.
We highly recommend this wonderful house.

The villa is as seen in the photos. Fantastic views, lots of space, attention to detail, cozy rooms/beds. Everything is easily accessible: supermarket, small cafeteria, pharmacy, etc. However, it is advisable to have a car on site to get to the beach, the nearest resorts/towns or the train station/airport.

Again, I highly recommend it only for short stays, but also for long stays.

The place is very quiet. Andrea and her partner were very welcoming and communication was very easy. Our stay was wonderful.
